Young Love (free) 04:16
What you do to my head Ooooh you're so young Burning and bright, bursting with life All I crave Takes a second to say Babe let's run away Fast as the wind, right out of your skin Do you feel the same? They say we don't understand But I know We've got to hold on Hey young love Hey young love Feel I'm coming alove Heartbeat phoenix fire Holding your hips, your jubilee lips I just can't let go You say you're full of the night I'll drink you and spill the wine So much to say, don't care anyway Let's go to bed They say love will tear us down A cold fire Well I'm burning for more Hey young love Hey young love Hey young love Hey young love I don't know how to say goodbye We'd both break down and die You know I want you There's a riot in my head tonight Violence, dread and suicide When I'm with you you make me quiet So quiet They say we don't understand But I know We've got to hold on They say love will tear us down A cold fire Well I'm burning for more Hey young love Hey young love Hey young love Hey young love

Take my hand, we're both better forgotten As summer slinks past stranger eyes Win, place or show, it's the people you know Give up so easy We only surrender to ourselves You and I the fastest of the losers So ahead of our time You and I the fastest of the losers We're flying blind tonight Feather trees lift me up to your window Motionless like a golden sun It's easy to give what you can't hold on with Until it's over The delicious speed of the night You and I the fastest of the losers So ahead of our time You and I the fastest of the losers We're flying blind tonight Close your eyes but don't lose sight Don't turn off your light tonight I need to see you hold you one more time Don't turn off your light tonight I need to see you hold you one more time I lost the plot, the page is turned, the chapter over I do my jacket up and run A cat on a roof walking silent aloof Calls come on over Is there emptiness never done? You and I the fastest of the losers So ahead of our time You and I the fastest of the losers We're flying blind tonight Close your eyes but don't lose sight

Desdemona 03:53
Take me out on a razor blade In your eyes a knife-edge flashing, so betrayed You oughtta know love comes and goes Like a river flows and dies Is this endless or just today? Desdemona, you know you broke my heart Desdemona, or did I start the war? Desdemona, it's only love that brings us down There was a girl in the falling rain There was a boy without a name They found each other and swore it all would change And now we know it's all for show As the stage-lights fade we're standing stock-still So afraid We could end this, or start again, again Desdemona, you know you broke my heart Desdemona, or did I start the war? Desdemona, it's only love that brings us down Just one chance, just one chance Just one chance, just one chance Is this endless? Desdemona, you know you broke my heart Desdemona, or did I start the war? Desdemona, it's only love that brings us down

Charge!! (free) 02:39
We are the golden ones We are the chosen sons Make your kingdom come Die fast, live long Every day gonna sing my song I don't care no more It's never been fair or pure Played, betrayed and cast away Wasted and deranged for sixty-seven days We are the golden ones We are the chosen sons Oh baby get your gun Die fast, live long Every day gonna sing my song Every dog has its day Every part of this great and faceless machine Crippled by the weight of an unjust fate As the riverbanks rise I just wanna get laid We are the golden ones We are the chosen sons Make your kingdom come So defiant, self-reliant We are the golden ones We are the chosen sons Make your kingdom come Die fast, live long Every day gonna sing my song

about

We Haven't Been Properly Introduced is the debut EP from Charge of the Light Brigade. Recorded in Toronto, Canada, the EP showcases Luke Sneyd's melodic song-craft and the band's soaring dynamics. Marc Koecher's richly layered production adds dramatic scope, from the driving urgency of "Young Love" to the textured pomp of "Fastest of the Losers". The EP's an exciting taste of COTLB's breadth, with a full-length release The Defiant Ones coming later in 2010.

Charge of the Light Brigade is a collaboration between songwriter Luke Sneyd and producer Marc Koecher, with bassist Jason Eagan and Zack Mykula on drums. Sneyd and Koecher had worked together before on Luke Sneyd solo releases: All of Us Cities in 2007 and Salvo in 2009. This time around, they found they were moving in a different direction. New songs and new collaborators inspired them to reinvent the partnership as a band.

COTLB's sound blends expansive rock with strong melodies and dense arrangements, in a distinctive amalgam of punk prog pop. Sneyd's writing is underscored by themes of doomed heroism and the terminal tick of relationships gone awry. Their first live shows have already earned comparisons to bands as disparate as Social Distortion, The Pixies, Joe Jackson, Death Cab for Cutie and Spoon.

Luke Sneyd's independent solo releases garnered airplay on college radio in Canada and satellite alternative stations in the U.S. An early demo of his track "The Prisoner" was a finalist in the Unisong International Songwriting Contest, and that song's video won him a Top 5 spot in the Great Canadian Band Challenge, competing for a deal with Universal Canada. Since then he's been gigging steadily, building up the nucleus that would become Charge of the Light Brigade.
